Roots is a community store located at Norreys Church in Wokingham.  It is a joint project headed up by SHARE Wokingham, Wokingham Foodbank and First Days Children’s Charity with support from Wokingham Borough Council (through its Hardship Fund). and Wokingham Lions Club.

The purpose of the store is to support regular users of the foodbank and those that suffer from food insecurity with a sustainable option providing a shop where they are offered a wider selection of items than a standard foodbank parcel.

At Roots Community Store we believe in the power of community coming together to support one another, especially during times of need. Our community store is a grassroots effort aimed at addressing food insecurity and promoting solidarity within Wokingham.

As roots feed a tree, allowing it to flourish and blossom, so we help feed families and individuals facing hardship, allowing them to flourish and blossom
